Magius is a middle-sized man who appears average in height with brown hair and silver-and-brown eyes. He wears a snow-white robe that is belted with a belt of white leather, from which hang pouches of various sizes and shapes, all also snow-white in color. Brown leather boots finish his ensemble. His robes have a hood which he sometimes wears up.

He carries a walking staff of purest black mahogany. It is topped with a bronze dragonclaw, which grips a crystal ball. This is in fact, the Staff of Magius, which was named after him. To those who haven't seen a dragonclaw before, it appears to be a metallic-colored reptilian claw of some sort. Besides the Staff, he carries several pouches of holding, in which he carries his spell components and spell books. A silver dagger sits in a pocket in his right boot and another sits in a wrist sheath. From his neck hands a amulet of silver that holds the symbols of Paladine, Solinari, Majere and Mishakal.

Magius is a white-robed wizard from Krynn, and an agent of the Gods of Good of that planet. He is a good man, intelligent and curious, and possesses a desire to help others when he can.

As a man from a medieval type culture, his knowledge of modern things is quite blank. He is resistant to magic and it's effects and can sense it's use and presence and is able to cast many different spells. His staff also has several spells bound into it.

He also possesses the innate ability to sense power and draw on it to cast his spells, even if magic is not active.
